The Legal Stuff

At dew goods, we craft traditional, cold-process soaps using high-quality, natural ingredients—including skin-nourishing tallow and plant-based oils. By purchasing and using our products, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and guidelines.

The Cold Process Method & Variations

  • The Saponification Process: True soap requires sodium hydroxide (lye) mixed with fats and oils. While lye is used during formulation to transform these ingredients into soap, no active lye remains in the final, cured bars.

  • Handmade Character: Because our soaps are handcrafted and cut in small batches, each bar is unique. Please expect slight variations in color, design, shape, and weight between batches.

  • Product Care: Our natural soaps contain no synthetic hardening agents. To maximize the life of your soap, keep it dry between uses on a well-draining soap dish and away from direct water streams.

Medical & Ingredient Disclaimer

  • Cosmetic Use Only: Our products are designed strictly for external cleansing and cosmetic purposes. They are not medications and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any skin condition, disease, or medical issue. No statement on our website should be taken as medical advice.

  • Sensitivities & Patch Testing: We use traditional tallow, plant-based oils, botanicals, and natural clays. Our products are naturally nut-free. However, even natural ingredients can occasionally cause skin sensitivities. We recommend performing a small skin patch test before regular use. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Essential Oil Care & Families

  • Pure Essential Oils: We scent our soaps with pure essential oils rather than synthetic fragrances. Because natural essential oils are inherently potent, we recommend consulting your pediatrician before using scented products on infants or very young children.
